Beth Wood Obituary
AIKEN - Beth Suzanne Augustine Wood, 46, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at River of Life Church, 1411 Columbia Hwy N,Aiken, SC with Pastor Keith Solomon officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Blake Jones, Justin Wingard, Devon Wingard, Tyler Wingard, Zachary Hatcher and Corey Beard.
Beth was born in Augusta, GA and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. Beth was a woman who lived a life filled with love and left this world a warmer place. She cared for everyone she met like they had always been family. She will be dearly missed and adored until the time comes to see her again.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sandra Elizabeth Carter (Michael) Harris, Aiken; daughter, Kirsten Elizabeth (Zachary) Wood, Aiken; three sons, Justin (Whitney) Wingard, New Ellenton, SC, Tyler (Ashley) Wingard, Aiken, Devon (Brandi) Wingard, Aiken; six grandchildren, Autumn Wingard, Lexi Wingard, Kambree Wingard, Kalila Wingard, Elijah Wingard, Adalee Wingard and a granddaughter due in May, Stella-Luna Hatcher.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin and Kyle Wood and her maternal grandparents, Rev. Kenneth and Velna Carter.

Beth and I were together for a short time as a couple many years ago....but I was fortunate enough 2 have been close to such a warm soul .....and watching her raise all her beautiful children virtually on her own and bask in the love of all the grandchildren....true grace under pressure...goodbye sweety....you have earned the rest.

Although we haven't been close for many years, Beth and I were friends when I first moved to Aiken, back in the third grade. I am saddened to hear of her passing and will continue to keep Sandra and her children (and grand babies) in my prayers.

We didn't know each other that well, but you always knew just when we both needed the "words" and posted something via Facebook to get us through another "moment" and back on track.
