Benjamin Holmes "Ben" Sanders
RIDGE SPRING, SC - Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Sanders, 64, entered into rest on Sunday, November 20, 2016.
Born in Aiken County, SC and a lifelong resident of Ridge Spring, SC, he was a son of the late Lonnie Hudson and Mildred Holmes Sanders. Ben graduated from Ridge Spring-Monetta High School, where he played football and was thought to be one of the best players the Trojans had ever had. He was an insulator and retired from Local Union #92. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and honorably served his country in the National Guard. Ben enjoyed sports and was a "movie buff".
In addition to his parents, family members include a son, Justin Sanders, Jackson, SC; siblings, Susan Storey and her husband, Raymond, Ridge Spring, SC, Gue Keisler and her husband, Randy, Gilbert, SC, Linda Trotter, Batesburg, SC and the late Andrew Sanders, nieces, Laura Storey, Scottsdale, AZ, Kim Goff, Gilbert, SC, Ashley Keisler, Lexington, SC, Kristi Eidson, Lexington, SC, Cameron Harman, Hope Mills, NC and nephews, Chad Sanders and Donnie Trotter, both of Batesburg, SC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 10 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Graniteville, SC. Pastor Chris Brown officiating.
