Aiken, SC - BARBARA C. WISE, 82, beloved wife of David S. Wise, Jr., passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her residence following a long illness.
A native of Aiken County, Barbara was a daughter of the late Jason and Beatrice Key Chapman. She lived most of her life in Aiken and ran a day care out of her home for 31 years.
Survivors include her husband, David; two sons, David S. Wise III (Angela), Graniteville, Joel H. Wise (Faith), Aiken; nine grandchildren, Tamara Key, Kristie Scott, Erin Byers, David Wise IV, Barbara Wise, Fawn Gordon, Sarah Wise, Joel H. Wise, Jr, Hope D. Wise; fifteen great-grandchildren, Haley and Colton Key, Ashley and Gregory Scott, Megan, Chase, Layne and Bristol Byers, David Wise V, Schylar, Bryson and Pierce Wise, Nicholas Wise, Mahkel Bush, Raven Gordon; two great-great-grandchildren, Miles and Maxton Boyle; a sister, Shirley Brown (Bob), Waverly, TN; a former daughter-in-law, Harra W. Venable, Beech Island.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 30th from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the funeral home with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Colton Key, Joel Wise, Jr., Gregory Scott, David Bagnal, Mark Brown, Albert Heath, Terry Goodman.
