Barbara Weatherford Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Ann Weatherford, 87, entered into rest July 19, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, July 24th, at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Meyer officiating. A private interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening, July 23rd, from 5 until 7 o'clock. Barbara was born July 3, 1938, to the late Haskell Woodruff Smith and Mary Louise Brown Smith. She was a lifelong resident of North Augusta, SC, having made Toccoa, GA her home for the past seven years. Barbara was a devout member of Warren Belvedere Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed photography, lighthouses, crocheting, and creating quilts. She was well known as an avid shopper and worked a number of years at JB White and Belk. Barbara is a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whom she adored and loved to spend time with. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Kenneth Weatherford, Sr. Surviving members of the family left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Amanda Weatherford Dittman and Kathy Wade (Jim); son, Ken Weatherford (Laura); grandchildren, Erica Anderson, Daniella Dittman (Joe), Alayna Wade, Daniel Wade (Carole Ann), Emily Renzi (Louis), Rebekah Stearns (Jonathan), Taylor Beatty (Austin); and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Daniel Wade, Louis Renzi, Jonathan Stearns, and Keith Tapley.
