To the Family. Barbara was a dear classmate. When I arrived at SC State in 1971, Barbara and her sister Lillie were the first two young women I met. They were kind and invited me to stay with them a mile away from campus until my room came available. We have been good friends down through the years. I will miss her kind, quiet spirit. Barbara, I wish you Joy, I wish you Peace, I wish you Heaven while you sleep.

My deepest condolences to Barbara's family. We lost touch after graduation, however, I had the opportunity to speak with her a couple of years ago. What a pleasure. May the joy and memories she shared be a source of comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Soror Bing was the president of the Aiken Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. when the 18 Diamonds of Distinction crossed the sands into DeltaLand in the Spring of 2011. She was a true Delta woman, and she made it a priority to make sure we all are true Delta women. My prayers and condolences are extended to Soror Bing's family, friends, our chapter and all whom she has touched.

To the Family and Friends of Barbara Bing: You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of great sorrow. Dr. Bing was very influential in the lives of our two daughters...always encouraging them to push on and be the best they can be! Both are educators and are motivated by the principles she instilled in them. She will be greatly missed. She impacted many lives throughout the years and will always live on through the memories. Blessings to you all.
