Arthur Hughes Obituary

Arthur Hughes
1956-2020
A
5 years in your words "Whooo!" Time goes by so quickly it seems just yesterday the first honorable remembrance was written. Though the years fly it does not cease the tears or cries. You were a son, brother, husband, Diddie, Pops, Uncle, cousin, deacon, mentor, engineer, friend, athlete, class president, #1 SCSU Bulldog Fan, sports lover, but most importantly you were God's son. Therefore we must accept God's decision best we can despite the pain and emptiness of you leaving us was his plan. Acceptance does not mean we are okay, it means we have to find resilience to conquer day to day. The world continues to move as we scramble to work through the shock wishing we could turn back the clock. Grief is a natural emotional response to a significant loss that will affect you and make you pause. Paralyze your mind, body and soul to the point of sinking into a deep dark hole. Fortitude and determination are two of the innumerable skills you taught us; remembering those lessons to stay the course is a plus. Psalms 147:3 states he heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. I wish heaven had a phone so we could call and hear your tone. The confident, authoritative, yet gentle voice that would encourage, inspire, laugh, love, pray, support with 100% loyalty any time of the day. For now we must continue to talk with you in our prayers and dreams waiting for them to reach you to comfort the screams. There is not a nano second that goes by that you are not held in high esteem and reminisced.
We will miss you always, we will love you always because of these two truths we will grieve always. Continue to be the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Guardian Angel.
Sending hugs and kisses to heaven,
Artrice S Hughes & Family
