Anson L. "Red" Harding
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - The relatives and friends of Mr. Anson L. Harding, known affectionately by his family and many friends as "Red", who went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 18th, 2016, beloved husband of sixteen years to Mrs. Fran Harding, are invited to attend A Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 23rd, 2016, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Jack Atkinson officiating. Born in Orangeburg, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Jesse and Annie Walling Harding. He was co-owner of Janson Construction. Red was a walking testimony of what God will do in your life if you let him, He never judged anyone and looked past the faults in others. He was a member of the Faith Riders Fellowship. Red had a passion for music. He enjoyed playing as well as singing music, fixing up things around the house and let us not forget, he was a "jokester". A biker through and through, he loved riding his 2004 Electra Glide, "Ruby". "Live to Ride.....Ride to Live."
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include, his girls, Amber Moody and her husband, Kevin, Trenton, SC, Alicia Renew and her husband, Milton, Trenton, SC, Sarah Ann Harding, North Augusta, SC, his baby girl, Amanda Faith Harding, North Augusta, SC and even though not a biological daughter, Kristina Flanagan, Aiken, SC, who Red loved just as she was his own. Siblings, Dianne Cook, Warrenville, SC and the late Jay Harding, grandchildren, Jesse Moody, Jacob Moody, Kody Moody, Tony Harms and Gage Renew, his aunt, Jewel "Mama Jewel" Walling, Warrenville, SC; niece, Lori Harding, Windsor, SC; nephews, Brian Mitchell, TN, Patrick Prine, Graniteville, SC and Wes Poplin, Barnwell, SC, and of course last but not least his best friend and business partner, Jay Armstrong and his wife, Andra, who have stood by Fran and the girls, through it all.
Red would have appreciated memorials in his memory being made to Christ Central Aiken. (www.christcentralaiken.com)

I'm just thinking about you. I miss you so much! I am finding myself wanting to talk to you everyday right now. We are remodeling our house and I'm such a little girl wanting to consult her daddy that knows about these things.. I wish I could just hug your neck and tell you the list of things I wish I would have said and done differently while you were sick. I love you. See you as soon as he lets me.

Red was a happy, fun loving man who will always be remembered by me first when I asked him "why do you always carry that bucket around? ..and he responded "thata way I always look like I am working. See I have a hammer too." He joked often that he was not doing anything, but he really was a very hard working man. He always had a joke or a tale to tell and was so upbeat. I am so sorry to hear of his death and pray his family finds peace because now he truly has found it himself. He loved life and he lived life. What more can be said? Rest in peace, my friend.

My Daddy can never be replaced. He touched the lives of so many people, I can't count. He was always able to bring a smile to our faces when in the darkest times. I'm so grateful for the last few years that he came home to be with my mom and spent so much time us and with his grandsons. We had the chance to be a real family for the first time in a long time. I can't believe that it all ended so quickly. No one can ever really prepare to lose a parent, but I will do my best to move on. I'm not sure what will happen when I need him and he's not just a phone call away.. I'm not sure what will happen when my baby sees a jeep and yells "pappy!" And demands to go see him. I'm not sure now who will teach my oldest son to ride his first Harley or play the guitar and I'm not sure who will teach my middle son every single corny joke that the world has ever known, but I do know that we'll do our best to get a long in a place that lost a piece of what made it fun to be here. The world has changed, but so has heaven. What a celebration party it must be! I'm honored to be able to say that Anson Harding is my daddy. And we loved each other and I'm proud to share him with Jesus for a while, until we meet again. I love you Daddy! I hope you know how much!
