Annie Hammonds Obituary
AIKEN - Mrs. Annie Mae Hammonds went home to live with her heavenly Father on January 31, 2022. She was the widow of the late Mr. Moses Mims, Sr. and the late Mr. Hughsey Hammonds, Jr. She was born in Aiken, SC on October 12, 1925, to the late William and Julia Griffin Harrison.
Annie Mae is survived by seven children, Morris (Ophelia) Mims, Moses (Betty) Mims, Jr., Benjamin (Mary) Mims, William (Martez) Mims, Loretta (Melvin) Baskett, Phyllis (Curtis) Blocker, and Barbara (Daniel) Hightower, a devoted niece, Helen Boddie Brown, a devoted nephew, Willie (Bill) Moore, seventeen grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Grave site services for Mrs. Hammonds will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at Mount Anna Baptist Church Cemetery, Banks Mill Road, Aiken, SC. Friends may visit JACKSON-BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 126 Fairfield St. SE, Aiken, SC 29801, 803-649-6123.
