Anne Waits Obituary

Ms. Anne Langley Waits, 80, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The family will greet friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Berea Baptist Church Cemetery, Edgefield, SC. Pallbearers will be Samuel Langley, Jeff McDow, Logan McDow, Mario Jackson, Steven Rodgers, and Michael Scholten. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Angie McDow (Ross), of Dearing, GA, and Sharon Adams (Mario Jackson), of North Augusta; brothers, Marvin Langley (Barbara), of Edgefield, SC and Ralph Langley (Liz), of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Ashley Boysworth, Jeff McDow, and Logan McDow and great-grandchildren, Rylie McDow, Kellie Boysworth, Dawsyn Boysworth, Camden Scholten, and one on the way. Anne was born in Edgefield, SC to the late Thomas Fred and Annie Leila Wates Langley. She retired from the Edgefield Citizen News as a journalist with fifteen years of service and she was a member of True North Church, North Augusta, and a Journey Group. Anne was a talented writer and an avid reader. Over the years Anne loved listening to karaoke, dancing, bowling, going to the beach but especially spending time with her family.
