She was actively involved in her girl's lives as Sunday School Teacher, Girl Scout Leader and official chauffeur for the girl's various activities. After her girls left home, she switched careers and became Jim's official bookkeeper at Aiken Child & Adolescent Clinic.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Aiken, SC having served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Board of Trustees & Administrative Board and Altar Guild.
