AIKEN, SC - MSgt.
Angelo "Andy" Morse Caltabiano, US Air Force (Ret.), age 66, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.
Andy was born November 23, 1950 in Fulton, NY to Theresa S. Caltabiano and the late Morse Caltabiano. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Andy had made Aiken, SC his home for the past seven years, having previously lived in Laurens, SC. He was very passionate about local veterans' causes and gave much of his time to help those organizations. He also enjoyed attending auctions and helping people in their time of need. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and was well-known by many of the wait staff at local restaurants.
He is survived by his mother, Theresa Caltabiano of Fulton, NY; a sister, Freda Collins (Ken), Fulton NY; two brothers, William Caltabiano (Nancy), Warners, NY and James Caltabiano (Monica), Mt. Laurel, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Augusta Wounded Warrior Project, 701 Greene Street, Suite 104, Augusta, GA 30901 or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
