NORTH AUGUSTA, SC -
Andrew Lewis "Andy" Johnson, age 70, of North Augusta, S.C., loving husband of Jacqueline Williams Johnson and son of the late Harry Johnson and the late Annie Sue Ford Johnson, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brandee Anderson of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Chad Johnson of Granitevile, S.C.; sisters, Dianne Freeman of Gloverville, S.C., Jeannine Daniels of Jacksonville, Florida, Joyce Vickers of McCormick, S.C. and Janice Lanier of Gainesville, Ga.; a brother, Danny Johnson of Bath, S.C.; grandchildren, Morgan Anderson, Brayden Anderson, Landon Johnson, Ledger Johnson and Lilybrooke Johnson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Johnson.
He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisior with Sweetheart Cup in Augusta, Ga. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a very special man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren, to whom he was fondly known as "PaPa", with all his heart. His family stated that he was also an avid outdoorsman. Yes, a well-rounded man of his caliber, shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 70 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. He has finished life's journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
A service, celebrating his life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Derald Adams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. The interment will follow the service at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Michael Kearse, Mike Burckhalter, Roger Lanier, Ben Sutton, Ken Daniels and Robbie Anderson.
