Allen Frederick Lundy
AIKEN - Allen Federick Lundy, 87, beloved husband of Valerie LaVange Greene Lundy, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Benton House of Aiken.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was most proud of his family's restaurant, F.W.I. Lundy Brothers in Sheepshead Bay, NY. He was the former owner of Royal Lawns of Florham Park NJ for over 35 years. A kind and generous Christian man, Al loved animals, especially horses. He and Valerie moved to Aiken in 2007 and enjoyed traveling with friends. He became very active in the Aiken Republican Club, serving for several years as club vice president.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 56 years, Valerie, include his daughter, Stacey Ann Manning (Shawn), Aiken; two grandsons, Dylan Lee Manning and Cody Allen Manning; his sister, Carol Bamert, West Caldwell, NJ and his beloved rescue dog, Snow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Allen Lundy.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 4th from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken Equine Rescue (www.aikenequinerescue.org .
