Alice Owens Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Alice Thelma Owens, 92, widow of Lyle Owens, died Monday, January 9, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Warren, PA, and Flowery Branch, GA. Alice was a daughter of the late Axel and Anna Dahlin Carlson. She was the Manager of Betty Dixon Candy Shop in Warren, Pa for a number of years until relocating to Flowery Branch, GA in 1976 and then to Aiken, SC after the death of her husband.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Lee Owens, Camarillo, CA, Linda Quadt, Tucson, AZ, Karen and Joseph Bonavita, Aiken, SC, Debra and David Williams, Stuart, FL; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren a sister, Agnes Yard, Farmington, CT.
Private burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren PA.

So sorry to hear about Alice. My wife, Becky and I were very fond of both Lyle and Alice. Our friendship grew over the years. I worked with Lyle in Jamestown and Flowery Branch. Like Lyle and Alice, we were part of the original group that moved South in 1975. Please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences to all of the family.

Alice was a very special lady. I knew her while she was a resident at The Hills. My mom was there and I spent many hours there visiting with both of them. It was painful to watch as, first my mom and then Alice, declined. I do not think we ever met, but I wanted you to know how much I cared for her. You are in my prayers during these days.
