Alex Collie Obituary
N. Charleston - Alexander (Butch) G. Collie III, beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2024. Butch was born on January 31, 1943 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Alexander G. Collie, Jr. and Lillie Smith Collie.
Butch is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sarah Emeneker Collie, daughter, Teresa (Alfred) Sineath, N Charleston; son, Charles Alexander Collie, N Charleston; grandchildren, James Price (Ciara) Sineath, Wilmington NC; Jesse Alexander Sineath, N Charleston; sisters Edna (Marion) Eubanks, Aiken, Debbie Collie, Aiken.
After the death of his father in 1968, he took over Collie Concessions and provided concessions for the Masters Golf Tournament at the Augusta National for 48 years.
He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Houndslake Country Club. He played in several Pro/Am tournaments, and also enjoyed camping and fishing at the lake with wonderful friends.
Both visitation and funeral service will be held at Town Creek Baptist Church in Aiken South Carolina. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024 Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery.

I´m very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Collie. He was always a perfect gentleman. I worked with Mr. Collie for many years on product for the Masters Golf Tournament. I always appreciated his honesty and integrity. He will be missed!
