AIKEN, SC - Mrs.
Alberta Rodgers Jackson Hayes Bledsoe, age 87, of Aiken, S.C., went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Bledsoe was the daughter of the late Rufus H. and Willie Plunkett Rodgers. She was the widow of her loving husband, the late Joe Tracy Bledsoe. She is survived by her children, Benny (Donna) Jackson of North Augusta, Mike (Martha) Bledsoe of Gloverville and Donna (Donnie) Turner of Graniteville. Surviving grandchildren include Brent (Denise) Jackson, Jason Jackson, Matt (Carrie) Jackson, Chris (Stacey) Bledsoe, Clay (Shannon) Turner, Shannon (Jordan) Cramer and April Turner. Other Survivors include her ten beautiful great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two previous beloved spouses, Hugh B. Hayes and Judson Jackson; a brother, Rufus Hayes Rodgers; four sisters, Evelyn Rogers Gunter, Blanche Rodgers Corley, Gertrude Rodgers McGee and Gussie Rodgers Berry. Mrs. Bledsoe was employed by both the Graniteville Company and Michelin; retiring from both. She was a devoted member of Stiefeltown Baptist Church. She enjoyed being active and sharing in the lives of friends and family. Cooking was especially enjoyable to her, as she loved to do so for visitors who stopped by and for her family every Sunday afternoon and countless other occasions. A service, celebrating her wonderful life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23rd at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Bob Boone officiating. A visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM prior to the service. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Stiefeltown Baptist Church, P. O.
