Agnes Irene Chavous
MARTINEZ, GA - Mrs. Agnes Irene Chavous, 95, widow of John P. Kaney and David "Dink" Chavous, entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Thursday, July 2, 2015.
Born in Graniteville, SC and a resident of Bath, SC, until 1980, she was a daughter of the late Stroud B. and Effie Mitchum Boyd. Mrs. Boyd was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Grovetown, GA.
In addition to her husbands and parents, family members include her beloved daughter, Glenda Kaney Distler and her husband, Wes, Martinez, GA; siblings, Mary B. Reese and Wilhelmena B. Shuman, both of Stiefeltown, SC and the late Luvenia B. Reynolds, a special nephew, Joey Clark and his wife, Elle, Aiken, SC; a special great-nephew, Chris Clark, Lake Murray, SC; several nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 11 o'clock in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
If so desired memorials
may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. (www.st-teresa.com)
The family will greet friends on Monday, July 6, 2015, from 6 until 8 o'clock at
Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.

Dear Glenda, I can't believe it's been 6 years since your sweet, loving mother passed. I know you miss her everyday if not every hour.

Glenda and Wes, we are to so saddened to hear of Mrs. Chavous' passing. She will forever be remembered as such a compassionate person who always had a smile, a twinkle in her eye and a kind word of encouragement. She will always be remembered fondly by our family. Our prayers are with you.
