Eleanore Webb Obituary

Eleanor Jane Webb Eleanor Jane Webb was born during a snowstorm in PA in January 1936 and passed away on a misty day in Fort Bragg, CA in October 2023. She was 87 years old. Married to her husband of 58 years, Arthur Henry Webb, they moved to Fort Bragg in 1979. Known as Jane, she worked as a cook at Redwood Elementary School, and retired in 1998. She was an avid genealogist and had a gift for taking tidbits of history and crafting stories about folks long past. Jane and Art were rock-hounds and active members in the local Gem and Mineral club. Jane wore many hats. She wrote and published the club newsletter for over 20 years. She also enjoyed the annual science fair where she taught kids about rocks and minerals. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Art and her brother Steve. She is survived by her brother Edward, her children Steven (Marian), Christie (Michael), and Scott, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. As she requested, a small memorial with family and friends will be held on the bluffs overlooking the ocean where her ashes will be spread at sea, and where she will rejoin her husband Art. They touched the lives of many people and both will be missed.
