Wynnell Robertson-Winnie to close friends and relatives-resident of Shawnee, OK, passed away on January 1, 2022. She was 90 years old. A graveside ceremony for Wynnell will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Casketbearers will be: Jim Robertson, II, Trevor Robertson, Ryan Ward, Jett Ward, Teddy Robertson, and Seth Robertson.
Wynnell was born on July 10, 1931 in Boswell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of JW (Bill) Mathews and Maud Spears Mathews. She attended school in Boswell and graduated in 1948. Three days after graduation, she married her life mate, Ted Robertson, and they moved to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma A & M. After Ted's graduation, they moved to Shawnee and he began practicing accounting. She was a stay at home mom. After the children were in school, she was active in many things, especially the Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a member of Jaycee Jaynes, Junior Service League and volunteered at the children's museum in Seminole. She enjoyed playing bridge and enjoyed the ladies in the Tuesday group. After her children went to college, she took classes at OBU and also got her Real Estate License.
She loved life, people, and especially her family. She was preceded in death by her two sisters and one brother, her parents, and one grandson.
Survivors include her son, Jim and wife Betty Robertson of Shawnee, daughter, Mary Beth and husband, Louis Ward of Edmond, one granddaughter, Whitney Ward, three grandsons, Jim Robertson and wife Mel of Shawnee, Trevor Robertson and wife Holly of Shawnee, and Ryan Robertson and wife Angie Ward of Edmond, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one great-great-granddaughter, and their much beloved dog, Doozie.
