William "Billy" Bragg IV Obituary
Billy Bragg was born on April 26, 1991 in Yreka, California, to Bill Bragg of Seiad Valley, California and Jamie Bragg, Clarksville, Tennessee. His beautiful life left us all far too soon, on September 7, 2014, at the age of 23. We miss his love of life, his generosity, his smile, and his laughter. We know that wherever he is, he will continue to spread happiness. Billy touched so many people and was loved by all who knew him.
Billy loved backpacking, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. Billy graduated Happy Camp High School in 2008 and loved playing football. He also attended College of the Siskiyou's for two semesters. Billy worked for the Forest Service in Seiad Valley, California, for a season as a firefighter, and for Tera Mia reclaiming exotic hardwoods.
Billy is survived by his parents, William Bragg, of Seiad Valley, Jamie Bragg of Clarksville, Tennessee, Darcy Derry, of Klamath River, and Becky Shaddix of Seiad Valley; brothers, Kenneth Bragg, Christopher Johnson, and Nick and Jacob Derry; three sisters, Melissa Bragg, Jennifer McCartney, and Bonnie Barneson; grandparents, Jacqueline Reed, Phyllis Solomon, Larry Harless, and Judy Vanderbosch; aunts, Jennifer Johnson, Valerie Linfoot, and Michelle Harless; uncles, Walter Johnson, Charles Linfoot, Dan Gelinske, Jobil Solomon, Sammy Solomon, and Warren Martin; cousins, Nick Linfoot, Rebecca Schuh, EmmaLee Perez, Jessica Counts, Liberty, Lilly, and Adohora Solomon, Briana Smith, Reece and Autumn Martin, Savannah Tabash, and Payton Solomon; and so many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Charlie Solomon and his grandfather, William Bragg.
There will be a memorial to celebrate his life on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Seiad Valley Fire Hall in Seiad Valley, California. There will be a potluck luncheon to follow.
