I remember first meeting Pete when he was dating my cousin Martha, before she went off and joined the Army. After she returned, they were married. Pete was a 4-years older than me, but we got along great. Pete was frequently at Martha's home around the corner from where I lived. He always had a smile on his face and was quite funny. I always wondered what happened to him and regret that our paths didn't cross again after I left home. It appears he had a pretty good life. Rest in peace Pete, you were one of the good guys.
