Vicki Jones 66, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. Vicki was born on December 18, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Floyd and Frankie Meyer. Throughout her childhood her family moved around a lot, living in different places in Oklahoma, as well as California. She graduated from Charles Page High School.
Vicki married the love of her life, Sonny Jones on August 4, 1979. Together they had four children.
Vicki was a hard worker. She spent many of her years working for the family tree service. She was a daddy’s girl and loved working alongside her dad all those years. When she wasn’t doing tree work, she was working at the Elks Lodge, being a caretaker, or babysitting her grandkids. She was not one to remain idle for very long. Vicki loved spending time with her family and being with her grandkids was her greatest joy. She was a person you could always count on to be there. She had a heart of gold, she loved deeply, she was onery and she was like a second mom to many. Anyone that knew her knew she was a fighter and was strong willed. When she set her mind on something that was how it was going to be. She enjoyed telling her family what to do, even if they didn’t always listen.
Vicki is preceded in death by her son Dusty Armer; parents Floyd and Frankie Meyer and brothers Jackie Shockey and Jerry Shockey.
Vicki is survived by her loving husband Sonny Jones; children Jerrid Jones and wife Carrie, Chad Jones and wife Kelli, Nicki Jones and husband Jerod; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022, and Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022, both at the Traditions Funeral Home Chapel.
