Valerie and I haven't seen each other in several years but we did stay in touch through social media and the thing I want to express is every time I seen her on social media her smile always gave me hope for the day.

To my family, It still doesn't seem possible that Val is no longer on this earth. My heart is very sad in knowing that her family and her community will miss her more than is possible to explain. But, I rejoice in knowing that she is with Jesus, and I am so very proud to call her my cuz! She definitely lived her life well, serving God and others, and she has left a legacy of "good works" that will carry on forever! We should all aspire to be as determined and motivated as Val was as she touched so many with her gifts and talents. She did not waste them or her time while on this earth! As Val would always post as a reminder....."Did you thank God today?" So today, I thank God for my cousin, Val! Thank you, Val for setting such an excellent example before us. Enjoy your reward! Love, Tammy

Myra, Ellen and rest of Valerie’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know she will be deeply missed by Jim, Myra and Larry, and Chuck and her precious Mother. Just remember that she is dancing with the angels or sitting at her Father’s feet, probably with her Dad at her side. You all will see her again. I love you all.

What a beautiful soul. I have known Valerie my entire life. Myra and Valerie were always like little sisters to me,
"Mernie and Vernie." The great consolation is that she has had this wonderful life with Jim. Their lives were so fulfilling. The memories.... flow like a river. And we think of our sweet Valerie, it will be like seeing a cardinal on a cold winter morning. Her memory is eternal. To Jim, Ellen, Myra and Chuck and all the extended family, thank you for always making me fill like family. God speed....until we all see each other again. Bruce Blankenship
