Timothy Housand Obituary

Timothy Housand, 60, beloved husband of Susie Housand of Nichols, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Medical Center. He was born in Horry County on February 8, 1961, the son of the late Quincey Housand and the late Ruthene Fowler Housand.

An avid outdoorsman, Tim had a great love of the water and the woods. He spent many hours hunting and fishing and making memories with his friends at Causey Hunting Club. Before his sickness made it too difficult, he enjoyed riding horses. He loved his hunting dogs and believed that they made him a better hunter. He loved his family and especially his Susie, who loved her Puddin and was with him every second as he fought the good fight.

In addition to his parents, Tim was predeceased by a son, Shane Lee Housand.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Housand; Tim’s children, son, Sherwin Housand (Patience) of Nichols and Shannon Barnhill (Randall) of Loris; a stepdaughter, Chasity Johnson of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Stevie Housand (Margie Faust) of Nichols; nieces, Krystle Barnhill and Stephanie Housand; a grandson, Jimmy Lee Barnhill; his beloved chihuahuas, Pippy and Bella, and his beloved Causey Hunting Club family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
