Thomas Kelly Obituary

Tom passed away peacefully after a long life of enjoying family, friends, faith and a true zest for life. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his parents, and his brother. Tom was born in Annapolis, MD on July 27, 1931 to Harvey and Elizabeth Kelly. He was an avid sailor, played soccer and lacrosse in his younger years. He attended the University of Baltimore as a student athlete and studied business. He served in the Army during the Korean War as a cryptologist. Following active duty, Tom returned to Annapolis and worked for the Army Security Agency at Fort Meade, MD. Tom married Helen in 1954. Switching careers to sales, prompted the family to move from Annapolis to Miami, Birmingham, Dallas, Moultrie, GA and Pell City. His survivors include his daughters, Susan K. Warren (Robert), Kim Wilcox (Bill), grandchildren, Sarah W. Flory (Daron), Will Wilcox and Robert Warren (Catherine), 5 grandsons, nieces, nephews and so many others who love him. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Pell City United Methodist Church (2200 3rd Avenue North, Pell City, AL 35125) on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Annapolis, MD at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Pell City United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
