Susan Griffin Obituary

Susan Virginia Griffin, 65, of Bradenton, Florida passed away July 19, 2022. She was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. David D & Margaret (Hightower) Griffin. Born in Canton, Illinois she moved to Manatee County in 1984 from Hanna City, IL. She was a Christian. Susan loved all animals especially horses and owned several in her younger years. She was very talented as a musician, playing her guitar and singing for many events, lounges and poolside’s in the Peoria, Illinois and Bradenton area.  She loved being around people, and spent many years working retail for Dillard’s, Macy’s and Montgomery Ward.  Susan also was a hostess at the former Pier Restaurant and “Bogeys”.

Susan is survived by her brothers, Roger (Karen) Griffin of Sugar Grove, IL, Tom (Becky) Griffin of Farmington, IL; and sister Sally (Wayne) Tempro of Bradenton, FL.  She also leaves behind many wonderful nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved cat, Nicholas.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10:00am – 11:00am with services to follow at 11:00am at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory’s 26th St Chapel, 5624 26th St. W, Bradenton, FL 34207.
