Sandra Anderson Obituary

Freeport – Sandra Anderson, 75 of Freeport passed away at home peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, May 9th, 2022.  She was born on November 25, 1946 in Spring Valley, Il to the late Carl and Louise (Marconi) Lund.  She and Gerald Anderson were married on November 28, 1970 in Princeton, Illinois and together they raised a family.


She loved to cook, follow the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys.  She would watch the Kentucky Derby each year and she even made her own derby hat that she was very proud of.  She and Gerald loved to dance and they could really cut a rug together. She loved spending time with her family and she adored her grandchildren.


She is survived by her husband of Freeport as well as her sons, Christopher and Toby Anderson also of Freeport.  Her daughter, Lisa (Dan) McMorris of Gilberts, IL. Her brother, Carl (Susan) Lund Jr. of Tiskilwa, IL; her sister, Kathy Leathers of Tampico, IL.  Her legacy also includes her grandson, Brady McMorris of Gilberts, IL and Allison (Preston) Scholly of Fort Drum, NY.


She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Wayne Lund and sisters, Carol Headley and Sharon Hand and also her brother-in-law, Jack Leathers.


A memorial has been established in her name for the Disabled Veterans Association.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
