Ryan Robert Cox, 20, of Lakewood Ranch, FL was killed on August 3, 2022 when a car entered his lane causing the impact which threw him from his motorcycle. He is survived by his loving mother Susie Magner and his sibling Dana Cox. He is predeceased by his father, Robert.
Ryan was born in Reinholds, Pennsylvania before moving to Florida with his family. He attended Willis Elementary, Nolan Middle and Lakewood Ranch High School, all in Lakewood Ranch, graduating in 2020. He played youth ice hockey and soccer his entire childhood before concentrating on physical fitness. He was working at Crunch Fitness to save money for college.
Ryan had a tremendous sense of humor and justice and was caring, loving, and generous with a wide array of friends. He was well loved by his extensive extended family and friends and adored by his mother. He was everything anyone could ask for in a son, a brother, or a friend. He had a passion for physical fitness and working out, MMA, video games and riding his motorcycle. He always gave more than he received and was always ready to help his mother, his friends, and anyone in need. He had huge hopes and dreams for the future and all that life had in store for him.
Ryan leaves behind many friends and a large family and will be dearly missed by everyone who loved him. Donations in his honor can be made to the Motorcycle Riders Foundation at mrfae.org to raise awareness to non-riders to share the road.
A Celebration of Ryan's life will be held on August 20, 2022. Contact his family or friends for details.

Although we have never met, I´ve had the pleasure to play video games for hours and laugh for hours over the mic with him. We ended up going our own way as we grew up and im glad to know that he was heading to a path of greatness through the adversity he has suffered in life. God bless you Ryan and my condolences to his family.

I was so saddened to hear this news today when I walked into crunch Ryan always had a gorgeous smile to give me and greet me and tell me to have a good work out. I really liked him and I’m so sorry for your loss he was a great kid and he would have done good things in life I’m sure of that so now he will be an angel and do good things without seeing him But we’ll always be in spirit

I didn't know Ryan personally, but he has changed my life and my mother's forever. My mom and I were the first ones on the scene of his accident and I would love for his loved ones to know that he was never alone. There are no words strong enough to express how much I wish there was more that could have been done. My heart breaks for him, his mother, sister, family, and friends. At the start of that day, Ryan was a stranger to me, but after reading everyone's notes here, I feel like I know him. It is clear he's made a beautiful impact on so many lives and he will continue to live on through each and every one of you. I have thought about Ryan, his family, and his friends every single day, probably every single minute, since the moment of the accident. He and his family will always hold a very special place in my heart and my mother's heart.

Ryan brought endless friendship to my son Matthew Moreno and others in this world. I will always remember his smile and laughter since they played together back in 4th grade, the birthday parties, sleepovers, or simple game reunions in our home, these memories were precious and will stay with us always. It was a pleasure to see him become such a wonderful young man. Ryan will be greatly missed by all members of our family and by many other people that knew him and had the privilege of his friendship. May your soul rest in peace Ryan, you were special.

I did not personally know Ryan, but I went to his gym and saw him frequently. I always admired him, his lifting achievements were all that I got to see of him as we did not talk much, but in that sense he was amazing. I strive to be as big as him one day, I'll think about him while I lift. I wish I got to know him. Rest in Peace Ryan, you were taken too soon.

Ryan was a great friend of mine, I met him in 7th grade art class, he was a super funny individual who had others interests at heart. Ryan was always super passionate about whatever his interests were at the time. I will miss meeting up with him at the gym and listening to him profess about his passions. My condolences to the family. He will be greatly missed by many people.

What I know about this nice young man I learned from my daughter. She told me how Ryan made her laugh and feel so happy inside. She works at Wawa and he was a regular at her store. When she missed a few days of work, her co-workers told her Ryan came in and made a big fuss. He would yell out 'hey, where is my favorite cashier?' We still smile about that to this day and we will always remember him as a kind, loving person. Our heart break for his mom and sister. There are no words that can console a family during this type of tragedy and loss. Just know that your son was a good man - he touched so many lives.

I do not know where to start, I met Ryan at work. I work at Wawa and he would come in multiple times a day and whenever he came in we all would have our eyes open for him because of how nice and handsome he was. One day I decided to go up to him and ask for his snapchat. He was beyond nice to me, I even tried to get him to do Zumba with me at Crunch lol. Every time I was on shift he would always put a smile on my face and chat a little bit about life with me. I did tell him when I first met him how beautiful he was, he was gorgeous on the outside and inside. I will never forget how he could lite up a room without being super outgoing and loud. I am sad our time together was short but in that little time he made such a sweet impact on my life and I will never forget him. I love you and miss you, you will live on in all of us. I send all my love to your family.

Ryan Cox was my best friend since I was 9 years old. We've done everything together whether it was sports, gaming, or lifting. We were splitting images of eachother and always known as a dynamic duo. I'll do my best to make him proud moving forward in my life and honor his name and legacy.

I also didn’t know him personally but I am a member of the gym he worked at and my daughter knew him. He was an extremely welcoming young man that had a phenomenal smile and presence about him. I am heartbroken for the family as he is gone far too soon. May God protect him and may he enjoy the company of his father above. God bless! You’ll be greatly missed Ryan.
