Pam and Kelli we are so very sorry for the loss of Roger!! He was a good man. He will be greatly missed. We are so sorry that we could not make the wake today. I have a sinus infection and I don’t want to give it to anyone. Otherwise we would have been there. Michelle also is sorry but she is in surgery this afternoon because she’s on call this weekend. Again our condolences to you both!!! Take care!!

We met Roger and Pam at Typhoon Lagoon almost twenty years ago, we always went in August as that’s when summer holidays in England allowed, we began to realise that each year we would both be there at the same time and sitting in our regular spots, we became friends and began going out to dinner or breakfast together with our families. Over the years our group of friends increased. When we no longer needed to go in August we would give Roger our dates and he would arrange to meet with us. We had so much fun and laughter on our vacations we would spend long sunny days talking, sunbathing, Roger had his regular spot at the bar, we would cool off in the water, Roger delighted in people being happy, he was always kind and generous buying people drinks at the bar, he brought our daughter her first rum runner a drink she will never forget! We looked forward to meeting and there were the biggest hugs when we departed. In 2016 Peter and i celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, Connie had arranged a celebration dinner at O’hanas and Pam and Roger surprised us with a cake. In later years we were joined by Rogers daughter Kelli and son in law Kevin new memories were being made then one of them being a hurricane which was so bad that we had to stay in our hotels as there was a curfew, as soon as we could were back together again on a adventure to find some place to eat. We love you Roger and our visit to Florida will never be the same without you, we will miss you so much. Thank you Roger for being our friend and giving us such wonderful memories, you will live in our heart forever, God Bless .Belinda,Peter,Hannah and Neil.

I feel lucky to have the most wonderful memories of Roger that I will hold on to and cherish! He bought me my first ever legal drink in the US - it was a Long Island iced tea, it was so strong it went straight to my head! He introduced me to five guys, I’d never heard of them before but they are the best burgers! He always said he wanted me to get married so he could come to England and get in a fight in a pub (which never would have happened as everyone would have loved him!) - I wish we had the opportunity for him to visit here, but maybe Kelli and Pam, you can one day and he’ll be here then in spirit! I will miss him a lot, his sense of humour and his generosity, but I will always imagine him still sitting at the bar in typhoon lagoon, I hope he is there right now. Sending you both my love and a huge hug xx
