Rick Wilson Obituary

Rick Allen Wilson, age 66, of Macon, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Rick was born November 2, 1955 in Macon, MO the son of Robert Lewis and LaRena Mae (Oehring) Wilson.  He was united in marriage to Brenda Lee Lucas on July 1, 1977 in Macon at the 1st Baptist Church.  Rick grew up in Macon and was well known for his professional skills of bow shooting and gun shooting.  He was a top ranked tournament archer for over 40 years and would help teach bow hunting to locals around Macon. Rick beat cancer and used his love for archery as therapy. He collected guns and enjoyed antique John Deere tractors and taking care of his lawn.  Rick loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and also loved caring for his dogs, Bo and Max. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home; children, Neal Wilson and wife Ashley of Macon, and Amber Hollingsworth of Peculiar, MO; five grandchildren, Garrett Wilson, Kambree Clarkson, Kaden England, Kenzie England, and Dallas Hollingsworth; one brother, David L. Wilson and wife Rhonda of Macon; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and one special friend, Mike Lenzini. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lewis Wayne Wilson.

Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, followed by the burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Macon. A visitation will held Monday evening, December 27, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm. The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
