Pilar Martinez Nevarez IV was a loving father, husband, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He passed away suddenly at the age of 39, on Tuesday June 28, 2022. Pilar was born to Hortencia and Pilar Nevarez III on August 27, 1982. Pilar was born with ventricular septal defect, but he never let that stop him from excelling in physical activity, becoming competitive in both soccer and baseball throughout his childhood through high school. Pilar later met his wife, Margaret, and together they had two sons; Pilar V, and Jaden Dodger. His family meant the world to Pilar. His two boys were the light of his life, and he spent all of his free time focusing on encouraging them to follow their joys. Outside of being the most loving father and husband, Pilar was very professionally successful. He began his career at Kraft foods, working nights wrapping pallets by hand, working his way up, while simultaneously earning his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business at the University of Phoenix. After seventeen years in the warehousing/logistics industry, Pilar eventually became the transportation manager of supply chain with Nissin Foods before his death. Along the way, Pilar took great joy in mentoring fellow young Latinos, helping them to move up within their own careers. Pilar was the light in every room that he walked into, he could make just about anyone laugh, and his presence will be missed by all those who knew him.

Pilar, as i sit here and think of all of the great memories we had together it breaks my heart to know you are gone.. you were a great friend, and boss and you will never be forgotten. Thank you for being there for me as a mentor when I needed it the most. I would not be where I am without you. Although I know you May not read this it brings me comfort being able to express my feelings and letting everyone know you were such a great person. Your family loves you so very much and will miss you but you have left behind some great memories that they will keep within their hearts forever.
