Pamela Gourdon Obituary

Pamela Dawne Gourdon, 71 years of age and a resident of Goldonna, LA, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 after a lengthy illness.  She was born on January 23, 1951 in Baton Rouge, LA.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Erma Lee Gorham Rachal and a brother, Gary Malehorn.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Gourdon; a son, Christopher Cody Gourdon; mother-in-law, Shirley Easterling; a sister-in-law, Sue Malehorn; two dear friends, Dorcas Cotton and Eva Denham; as well as her “Fur Baby”, Sandy.

Pamela was a devoted LSU fan, through the good and bad times.  She was employed at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, where she assisted incoming patients in the ER.  A parishioner of St. Joseph’s Chapel in the Trichel Community, she enjoyed fellowship with her church family.  Pamela had a servant’s heart and was always available to assist anyone in need.  She will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary by Father Dutch Voltz will be held at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.  After cremation, she will be interred in the Clear Lake Cemetery near Goldonna, LA.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and La Extended Care for the care and compassion given to Pamela during a very difficult time.
