Myron Melvin King, 73, of Evans, WV, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 27, 1949, in Evans, WV, a son of the late Harold and Madeline (Kay) King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Alvin King and one sister, Iva Louise Sayre.
Myron was a 1966 graduate of Ripley High School and a retired Mechanic from DuPont Washington Works, Parkersburg, with 32 years of service. He had several interests through the years such as hunting, fishing, and working in the yard, but his all-time favorite thing to do was collecting, shooting, and talking about guns. Myron never met a stranger or had a problem talking or joking around with others.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 35 years, Dianna (Fry) King; son, Eric King and his wife Debbie of Ripley; daughter, Lisa Butcher of Cottageville; step-sons, Kent Morningstar and his wife, Lisa of Idaho, Spencer Morningstar and his wife, Micki of Washington; brother, Harley (MaryAnn) King of Evans; sisters, Tressie (Junior) Steele of Evans, Linda Donohew of Evans; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. A gathering and celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at his home place, 2 Blaine Drive, Evans, WV.

Myron was such a good friend that I worked with at DuPont. I always enjoyed being around him. We always talked about guns, shooting and was on the same silhouette team several years ago ...........GREAT GUY
I will always remember his quote "I´m so tired of being tired."

We first crossed paths 63 yrs ago. We've been best friends since the mid 60s. The one thing that I am most happy for is that he found Christ in the last couple years. That was what he talked about most, and that's what mattered most. I thank God for Myron's testimony.
