                           5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mrs. Virgie Brewer, age 93, of Ellisville who passed from this life on June 27, 2022 at Laurelwood Community Living Center. Bro. Kevin Williamson and Bro. Chuck Gagliano will officiate with burial to follow in the Sandhill Cemetery of Ellisville. Pallbearers will be Phil Maskew, David Scruggs, Wendell Miller, Charles Odom, Ty Colvin and Taylor Sanford. Honorary pallbearer will be John Yates.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. Brewer; parents, Jeff and Ella Yates; brothers, William Yates, Lonnie Yates, Freddie Yates and Terrell Yates.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her daughters, Janice (Jack) Williamson of Laurel and Linda (Glen) Odom of Ellisville; grandchildren, Kevin (Rhonda) Williamson of Ellisville, Rhonda (Wendell) Miller of Stringer and Bridget (Phil) Maskew of Ellisville; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Williamson, Laken Maskew and Ty Colvin; brother, Roy (Judy) Yates of Laurel; sisters, Ida Scruggs of Ellisville, Eloise Williams of Ellisville and Paulette (Toxey) Crosby of Ellisville.

She retired from Ellisville State School where she worked as a Resident Care Provider.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Southern Hospice and Laurelwood Community Living Center for the care given to Ms. Virgie. Their love extended during the season of covid will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
