Morgan Benjamin “Ben” Duhon, 20, was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Morgan was born on December 11, 2001 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a 2019 graduate of Louisiana National Guard YCP and worked as a Disaster Relief Specialist for FEMA in Eugene, Oregon and in the Lake Charles area. He was determined, strong-minded, and free-spirited. His fierce independence and adventuresome spirit propelled him wholeheartedly to brave new places and new experiences. Morgan had a tender and compassionate heart. He loved animals and, like any Southwest Louisiana young man, enjoyed hunting and fishing. His faith in the Lord was evidenced by his kind and gentle soul, blessing many of those who crossed his path with encouragement and by sharing that God-given enthusiasm. Morgan was a bright spot in many lives.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Toby and Melanie Duhon; his sister, Alexandra “Lexi” Duhon; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Donna Duhon; his paternal uncle and aunt, Troy and Susan Duhon and their son, Andreu LaFleur; his maternal grandparents, David and Chere’ Shull; maternal great grandparents, Shirley Bourque and J. D. and Mary Malone; and maternal uncle and aunt, David K. Shull and Jenna Semar and their daughter, Mila Shull.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Karl Smith will officiate. Interment will be at Prien Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 4 until 8 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
We invite you to leave a fond memory of Morgan or words of comfort to his loving family on our website at www.johnsonfuneralhome.net

I can’t wait to see Morgan again in the next life..no pain, no suffering, no anxiety, no worries..Morgan had a compassion for others, he certainly knew his name was written in the lambs book of life. He’s in Heaven now, playing his piano and watching us all..he loved his friends and family. He loved the Lord as well. Paw Paw.

I didn't know Ben for very long but as soon as I met him I knew he was a person I'd be proud to call my friend and I am. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met and he was always laughing.

I wasn't blessed to have known Morgan long, only about a week, but he had such a light within him that called to everyone around him. I consider myself fortunate to have had the honor of that experience.
