Marcia Lynn Remore, 82, of Sunrise Beach, Texas passed away June 9, 2022. She was born to James Monroe and Ara Victoria (Letlow) Gathright on November 20, 1939, in Huttig, Arkansas.
Marcia lost both of her parents at a very young age and was raised by her sister Relda Franks and her Husband Henry Franks Jr. in Houston, Texas. At the age of eighteen, she married the love of her life, James (Jim) Remore. She spent the next twenty-five years as a dedicated military wife and mother. After her husband’s retirement, they settled in Austin Texas to raise their boys. In 1993 they retired from the University of Texas and moved up to Sunrise beach to take care of her aging sister and brother-in-law. Marcia was a very active member in the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, spending countless hours supporting the Fire Department. She was also very active in the First Baptist Sunrise Beach and was one of the founding members of Sandy Mountain Fellowship.
Marcia enjoyed entertaining people and was an amazing hostess. She loved spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. When at her home you could expect a spread of her famous chicken spaghetti, chicken and dumpling, or pot roast.
Marcia is survived by her sons, Rick Remore and wife Mary, Bobby Remore and wife Melenda, and Stephan Remore and wife Amber; grandchildren, Tanya Remore, Jamie Remore and wife Sheri, Jeffrey Remore and wife Lauren, Phillip Remore, and Cody Remore. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Matthew Weaver-Remore, McKinley Remore, Ryleigh Remore, James Remore, Hailey Siberry and Clair Elam. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Remore, parents, brothers, and sisters.
Visitation will be 9:00A.M. Monday, June 20, 2022, with services beginning at 10:00A.M. at Sunrise Beach Baptist Church with Bill McCormick officiating. An online guest registry may be signed at www.putnamcares.com

We celebrate Marcia's life with praise to Jesus Christ! Marcia was a part of our spiritual family for many, many years and guided us in drawing closer to our Creator through Bible study. How we look forward to the future when we will all be reunited.
