Marcelina Salas Obituary

Marcelina “Marcie” Salas was born on October 30th, 1923 and passed peacefully on July 2nd, 2022. She will be missed dearly by her 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren along with all of the family friends whose hearts she touched along the way.

Marcie had a smile that could light up a room and loved spreading that smile to everyone she came across. She was happiest when she could play with children, particularly her great-grandchildren, enjoying her “tecito con pan”, or having a sweet dessert. She loved being surrounded by nature and the beautiful flowers in her garden, she loved staring up to the sky and taking notice of the birds that flew overhead or the stars in the night sky.

We all loved Marcie’s sweet side, but she never let anyone forget her sass either. Everyone knew where her seat in the room was, or which plate on the table was hers. She made sure to let us know when she wanted something sweet to eat or if she needed a refill on her drink. Marcie always spoke her mind so we never had to guess what she was thinking, and she kept us on our toes because we never knew what she was going to do next.

She had the most loving friends and family who miss her very much and that have many cherished memories with her. We all remember how full of life she was and that is how we choose to remember and honor her legacy.

We will never forget the incredible, loving, sassy, powerhouse of a woman that she was. She was an inspiration to us all to never give up on life and to always live each day to its fullest.

We love and miss you so much Marcie. Always.
