Lula Wozniak Obituary
Lula Mae (McDiffitt) Wozniak, 98 of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the EORH. She was born June 29, 1923, in Martins Ferry, Oh the daughter of the late William A. and Florence (Allen) McDiffitt.
Lula was retired from the EORH as a nurse’s Aide.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. “Frank” Wozniak, Sr., son in law Tom Kidney and granddaughter Edwina (Anderson) Dearth.
She is survived by her son Frank (Sharon) Wozniak of Bloomingdale and Karen Kidney of Bridgeport, grandchildren; Jeff Anderson, Lori Jo Wozniak, Brian Wozniak, and David (Carrie) Wozniak, great grandson Derek Dearth, and several special nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon, with Fr. Thomas Marut as celebrant, Internment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in memory of Lula Mae Wozniak.

RIP Lou, her husband "Woozie" was one of my fathers best friends,and one of the first to befriend him when he came to Martins Ferry from Poland. I have fond memories of both at one of our 4th of July get-togethers.

Lu arrived at our home when our third ( Natalie ) of four children was born- 30 years ago.She was our babysitter for many years. I remember when I found out I was pregnant with Daniel, I told Lu - she and I together wondered how we were going to handle "our" fourth child. She was wonderful with our children and instantly became part of our family. We will all miss her very much - we all were not surprised she lived such a long and wonderful life. She touched so many people. Rest in peace Lu and thanks for all the memories! Marty and Paula Spanner

In loving memory of a very special lady that I feel extremely blessed was a part of my life as a child. I will always remember Lu with much love in my heart and wonderful memories. She was an Angel on Earth and she is now an Angel in Heaven ! She will be missed by everyone that has ever known her. Sending prayers of comfort for the Wozniak family.

Mrs. Wozniak was one of the strongest women I have ever known. As a little girl, I knew her as a neighbor and the babysitter of my friend Betta. She was always so nice to me and always energetic.
More recently and after many years, I saw Mrs. Wozniak when she paid her respects to my brother Jeff after his passing from cancer. This saddened her deeply and she was very emotional when she saw me. I was so touched and so happy to see her again.
May you rest in heavenly peace, Mrs. Wozniak, and may your family always be proud of how many lives you touched.
