DECEASED: Mrs. Betty Lou Oakley age 86 of the Highland Community of Rickman, Overton Co., TN passed away from this life on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2022 at her Daughter’s residence.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Mrs. Betty Lou Oakley was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN on Friday, August 2, 1935 to the late James Spurgeon and Nannie Mae (McDonald) Cantrell. Betty was a loving person who loved all her family and friends. She loved to meet and greet everyone at the flea market. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and all that knew her.
SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Steve Oakley; 1 Daughter: Anna Shields; 5 Grandchildren: Jason (Katie) Copeland, Cindy (Jason) Cherry, Jamie Higgins, Joanie (Michael) Wright, Sherie Jent; 17 Great Grandchildren: Cody, Elizabeth, Aaron, Drew, Mason, Colton, Dilan, Skyler, Bella, Emma, Jacob, Lila, Elleanna, Devin, Austin, Katie, Willow; 5 great-Great Grandchildren: Everleigh, Odin, Riley, Charlee, Kaysen; 2 Brothers: Odell Cantrell, Howard Cantrell; 1 Sister: Jessie Stover; A host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends and tons of great friends she has had for many years including her flea market friends Mr. Roach, Annabelle Lee, Bobby Greenwood, Kathy, Dennis , Lois and some very special neighbors Roy Pennington, Mark Walters, WJ Staggs.
PRECEEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents; Husband: Hillis Oakley; 3 Brothers: Ray Cantrell, Roy Cantrell, Clyde Cantrell; 2 Sisters: Ruth Dishman, Clara Guenthenspberger.
PALLBEARERS: Jason Cherry, Cody Jackson, Aaron Cherry, Jason Copeland, Austin Higgins, Arnold Miller, Michael Wright.
SERVICES/BURIAL: Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Oakley will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow in the Harris Chapel Cemetery. Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, April 22nd starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Bro. Roger Lehman.
