Lisa Wasser Obituary

LISA WASSER, 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Mercer on July 8th, 2022. She was born August 4th, 1961 to Robert and Marilyn Ringer of Mercer. Soon after graduation from Mercer High School in 1979, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and lived there 12 years. While in Las Vegas, Lisa married Jeffrey Wasser in 1986 and had two children, Zachariah and Devin. As the boys got older, she moved her family back to Mercer to be closer to loved ones. Lisa’s main focus in life was taking care of her 2 sons; from teaching manners, humility, and how to treat one another, to ensuring home cooked meals were made and making sure the boys were never late to a practice. Lisa’s sons were her life. She never missed a game, and she was always the loudest fan in the stands.

Lisa worked at the Mercer High School Cafeteria and then moved onto PNC bank, where she became the head teller. She was a member of the Mercer United Methodist Church. She loved her husband, her sons, her 3 grandkids, her dog Sunshine and a hot cup of tea.

She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Jeffrey Wasser, son Zachariah and Julia Wasser, son Devin and Michaelynn Wasser, grandchildren Simon, Caleb, and Gavin Wasser, sisters Karen, Bonnie, Cheryl, and brothers Robert and Mark.

Visitation will be Monday July 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Cunningham Funeral Home, Inc., 144 S. Pitt Street, Mercer, PA 16137. Funeral service will be Tuesday July 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mercer United Methodist Church, 250 E. Butler Street, Mercer, PA 16137 with Rev. Brian Keller officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, PA.
