I will miss you Lewis. You were loved. We have been friends and classmates since we were 6 yrs old. Playing together from 5th Avenue in Southside to Pine and Chestnut streets and Friendship Baptist Church down the street and around the corner from your Dad’s church. Friends and neighbors in Jackson later in life. Although I was from Southside, I took piano lessons on Chestnut street. You never missed class reunions and always pitched in to help. No matter where you had to travel from to get there. Thank God for the memories. Soyour smile, laugh, and our experiences will live on. Rest in Power until we see you in Paradise.

Lewis was like a brother to me. We grew up together, attended the same school together through high school, attended the same church in and around Custom Avenue and Chestnut Street. We also got in trouble together.
I remember he got in trouble alone and Ms. Nettie told him she was going to tell Reverend when he got home. Sooo I stayed there sitting on the side of the bed to make sure and left. Oh, I am the one that snitched.
Even while working and living in Meridian MS he would stop by for visits. I will miss Lewis in my heart and remember him in thought. My prayers go out to the families.

Lewis was like a brother to me; we were childhood friends and classmates. We grew up and played together on the streets of Custom Avenue, Chestnut Street and Masonite Drive. There's something special about the friendships formed in childhood. No matter how much time and space that comes between us, there's an unspoken connection that runs deep. His love of family and his forever smile will be missed. I ask God to be with his wife, Jessica and his children as they travel this grief journey. God will heal your broken hearts ... one day.
