Lester James McCall age 90, of Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, passed away June 18, 2022 at his home.
He was born in East Haven, CT on November 12, 1931, son of James C. and Mable McCall. He served 3 yrs. in the US Coast Guard as a radio operator. During his working career, he was employed by RCA Company, a distributor for Frito Lay, Archway Cookies and Stella Doro Cookies and he was owner and operator of Belltone Florist in East Hampton, CT for several years. He raised his family in Durham, CT and eventually retired and moved to Sanbornville in 1987 from Shelton, CT.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Theresa H. McCall, 3 sons Michael, Scott, and Joel McCall, 5 daughters Marianne Slight, Colleen Stickl, Cheryl King, Kelly McCall, and Michelle Arseneau, stepson Christopher Matto and Spouse Erin, 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He enjoyed sailing, traveling and ESPECIALLY napping as he was an “avid dreamer”!
He was an active member at Nute Ridge Bible Chapel for several years where he was well loved, respected and will be missed. He now rests in the loving arms of his Savior.
He is predeceased by his parents and brother David McCall.
Les always teased his loved ones that someday he would make it into Medical School which is what he did as his final wishes have been honored to have his body donated to Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
