Lee R. Derstine, 80, of Telford, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA entered into rest on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lansdale.
He was the loving husband of Annetta K. (Heebner) Derstine for 60 years. Lee was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Stuart K. Derstine and the late Arlene (Roth) Derstine.
He graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1957. Throughout his working lifetime, Lee worked a salesman for local businesses. After retiring, he worked part-time for Henning's Trains in Lansdale.
Lee was an associate member of the Bear Mountain Hunting Club in Sullivan County, PA, a member of the American Bowling Congress, and a member of the Train Collector's Association.
He was a member of Souderton Mennonite Church.
Lee enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing, building model trains displays, watching local sports, and traveling with his wife. He was an independent man.
In addition to his wife, Lee is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia A. Schwenk & husband, Thomas of East Greenville, PA, Wendy L. Maley & husband, Paul of Arvada, CO; his son, Brian S. Derstine & wife, Donna of Red Hill, PA; his seven grandchildren – Amber, Seth, Austin, Kara, Troy, Melissa, & Zachary; his three great-grandchildren – Carter, Isaac, & Walker; his two sisters, Nancy Greaser of New Columbia, PA, Diane R. Detweiler of Silverdale, PA; and his two brothers, John Derstine & wife, Elaine of Souderton, PA, David Derstine & wife, Marilyn of Harleysville, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Leroy Greaser & Glen Detweiler.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
Inurnment will take place at Souderton Mennonite Church Memorial Garden.
