Although we did not serve on the Ault together, you were in every way a great, wonderful and fun shipmate to me and all of us Ault Shipmates at our reunion. I always looked forward to seeing you and loved all the fun things you said and did, like saying we should have reunion in Minnesota in January. I enjoyed our telephone conversations when you asked how your friends in Texas we’re doing. I miss you.

You couldn't ask for a better neighbor. I will miss our chats on the back porch, over the fence and in Gene's garage. We may have to leave the recliner in Gene's garage sitting empty in your honor. Rest in Peace Tin Can Sailor as the Sunset Drive Gang mourn the loss of a dear friend.
