Julie Brill Obituary

Julie Porter Brill, 50, of Pleasanton, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 11, 2022.  After a long battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her family at home when she took her last breath here on earth and went to begin her life in eternity.  She was born March 3, 1972, in San Antonio, TX to Morris Porter Sr. and Peggy McCurry Porter.

Julie was full of life, with her beautiful smile and contagious laughter.  She had a joking spirit, as she would listen to music and sing as loud as she could even though she knew she was not a good singer, the joy would overflow in her spirit.  She was always happy and took every step along the way with such dignity and grace, no matter the storms she would face.  She was kindhearted, with a giving spirit, she found peace while gardening and tending to her flowers.  Julie was the best wife, mother, and friend.  She was an amazing cook and loved getting together with family for BBQs and spending time with her nieces and nephews who lovingly knew her by Aunt JuJu. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Nona McCurry.

Julie is survived by her loving husband of almost 21 years, Rodney Brill; daughters Kelsie Hubert and husband Riley, Kamrie Brill and Kenlie Brill; mother Peggy Porter; father Morris Porter Sr.; sisters Tracye and Jamie; brother Morris Jr.

There will be a memorial service held at the First Baptist Church of Pleasanton-400 North Reed Street on Saturday 20, 2022 at 10:30 am.

I met Julie several years ago at her job and would see her often. Always with a smile on her face and one in her heart. She was sweet and lively and enjoyed life fully. She spoke of her family with fondness and pride. I am so sorry for her loss and that I wasn’t able to see her one last time. I will remember her smile with fondness and her engaging personality. She is one of those people that leave you with a little more after you get to know her. I feel blessed to have known her and will remember her always as a lovely beautiful human being. One of a kind. My condolences to her family and friends.
