It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Antonio Moreno (Tony), 56, who left us on Thursday, May 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was born on November 2, 1968, in Ciudad Juarez, to Guadalupe D. Moreno and Cresenciano Moreno. He was known for his vibrant personality, love of telling jokes, and the joy he found in spending time with friends and family. An avid reader, Tony particularly enjoyed western history books, reflecting his love for storytelling and adventure.
As a beloved father, son, uncle, and loyal friend, Tony’s dedication was evident in his work. He held various roles throughout his career, with a special commitment to Fierro Plumbing and Masonic Cemetery, where he was a loyal employee for many years.
Tony is survived by his only son, Jose Antonio Rangel-Moreno (Tony Jr); his mother, Guadalupe D. Moreno; his brother, Daniel Moreno, and his partner, Patricia Dunaj; his sister, Guadalupe (Lupe, Nina) Moreno, and her partner, Richard Herrera; his nephew, Johnny Ray Moreno; and his nieces, Briana Nicole Wilson and Lucy Yvonne Herrera.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cresenciano Moreno; his brother, Horacio Moreno; and his nephew, Eric Daniel Moreno.
Visitation for Tony will be on Friday, June 27, 2025, with the recital of the Rosary at 6 PM at Bacas Funeral Chapel.
Tony's spirit will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the happiness he brought into our lives.
