Jeremy David Parker, 43, succumbed to the selfish disease that is all consuming called drug addiction on Thursday, June 30, 2022, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. His tortured soul has finally found the peace he sought.
Jeremy was born May 18, 1979 to Larry Glen and Theresa Boggs Parker of Walton. He was the father of Madison Graceann Parker whom he loved very deeply. She was his pride and joy. He was the brother of Carey (Tim) Antill of Fleming, Ohio, Jill (Randy) Wild of Boise, Idaho, Tim (Rita) Parker of Parkersburg and Leanna Parker of Nokesville, Virginia. Other survivors include,
stepsons, Ryan Smith and Liam Sloan; grandmother “Grandmama”, Betty Boggs of Spencer; Uncle John Parker of Charleston; father-in-law, Roger Dunlap of Cowen; nieces, Brittany (Darrin) Antill Legleitner and their children, Devon and Dylan, Kimberly (RJ) Norris and their children, Victoria and James, Vienna Wild and Evanna Parker; nephews, Austin (Jordan) Antill and their child Kylie, Parker Wild, Levi Parker and Holden Parker.
Jeremy was a talented musician on the drums and loved to sing while playing his guitar to John Lennon and The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. His nephew, Austin Antill was inspired by him to learn to play both the drums and guitar as well. He was a kind soul who loved his family very much. He had a great sense of humor, a joyous, infectious laugh and beautiful smile.
He will be sadly missed by his family who loved him deeply and prayed for his recovery daily. Jeremy was a Christian and attended both, First Advent Church and First Baptist Church, growing up in Spencer. Jeremy received his GED from Wood County and had been employed by Boggs Natural Gas, Spencer, before moving to Parkersburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jillian Dunlap Parker on February 13, 2022; his Aunt Barbara Parker; “Papaw”, Harry C. Boggs, whom he dearly loved and missed; paternal grandparents, Harvey Glen and Eva Jane Lowe Parker; maternal great grandparents, Clarence and Bernice Richards; paternal great grandparents, Everett and Addie Lowe.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Boggs Airfield on Spring Creek Road at the Harry C. and Betty Boggs Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Roger Dunlap and Rev. George Chandler officiating. There will be a pizza luncheon at the airport following the service.
