I am *so sorry* I *missed* this obituary! Troy and I grew up (in our early years) across the street from each other.
Todd, you have my sympathy.
1 Cor 15:3–4,
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures....

Even though I don't know any of the family, I had intended to stop by today to pay my respects to Troy, but I wasn't able to get there. Troy was a friend to me in high school and we have been
connected through FB since our last high school reunion. I will miss his commentary on posts and through our back n forth messages. He was a one of a kind person!

Troy has been mine and Jeff's neighbor for 25+ years. I always enjoyed visiting with him while he was out walking the dog (s), as well as after he lost them. It doesn't seem possiblel that he is now gone too. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

We always enjoyed Troy in Rutherford County Square Dancers. He was full of good humor and lively. It hurts me that he left us at such an early age. I send my sympathy to Todd and the rest of his family. (Juanita's mother attended Kittrell with my parents. She and her brother had a long, long walk to catch the school bus my father rode on Cripple Creek Road. They came from over the ridge toward Curlee. I remember when Olen first came to Kittrell in the 50s. He was a true ladies' man!)

I first met Troy a long time ago when I joined the Rutherford County Square Dancers. We hit it off right away. You were always so fun to be hanging around with. You never too life too seriously and lived your days to the fullest. Our trio of you, Van S. and I had some good times in the RCSD. You played the part of the "jester" that was part of our English dances we performed. You mixed it up with the audience with such ease. And because we would attend separate high schools, we lost touch. But when we did see one another, we picked up right where we left off. Facebook would afford us the opportunity to really re-connect. I always enjoyed reading your posts about various things: travel, the beautiful flowers you grew and shared, your sweet doggie, and sometimes life in general. I would always get a good laugh when I would refer you as a "lady's man". I was blessed having you as a good friend. RIP brother.

You will be missed old friend. We met back in the 70's and although we didn't hangout a lot, we were still friends. Your intelligence was vast and I think you could probably fix anything. Rest in Peace Troy Bell.
