Mr. James Barry Bolling, 71 of Dinwiddie, VA entered into eternal peace on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 19, 1950. He was a graduate of Southside High class of 1968. Barry served with the United States Army and was later employed at Brown and Williamson. He loved playing cards with friends, fishing, and shooting pool. Barry was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Dorothy R. Bolling; granddaughter Dominique M. Batts.
Barry leaves his cherished memories with his only daughter Latasha Manson; one grandson Donnell Batts Jr.; his loving and devoted companion Sylvia Myler; one brother Larry Bolling (Nadine); three nieces Tunitia Bolling, Fontella Nicholas, and Yolanda Robinson-Walker (Leroy); three nephews Larry Bolling Jr. (Lillion), Lamorris Bolling (Lawren), LaQuinn Bolling (Whitney); one aunt Thelma Hill, a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, The Thomas family, friends, and the West Petersburg Community.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 418 Halifax Street Petersburg, with Rev. Carlos Jordan, officiating, and Minister Diane White, eulogizing. Public viewing will be held on Monday, January 3, 2021, from 12 Noon to 7 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel.
