Mr. Gilbert A. Mathieu Sr.

October 6, 1932 – January 7, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Gilbert A. Mathieu Sr. announce his passing on Thursday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 89.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children Gilbert A. Mathieu II (Judy) of Inglewood CA; Gail A. Easley (Kenneth II) of Chesapeake, VA; Garryn A. Mathieu-Kendrick of Cerritos, CA; Gregg A. Mathieu of Lawrenceville, GA; seven grandchildren Brittney E. Rowland (EJ) of Madrid, Spain,  Gilbert A. Mathieu III of New Orleans, LA; Kendrick M. Easley of Seattle, WA; Gabrielle A. Manhertz (Christopher) of Fort Mill, SC; Giordanna M. Easley of Washington DC; Kimo L. Kendrick II of Cerritos, CA; Gregg A. Mathieu II of Los Angeles, CA, and Ryan A. Mathieu of Lawrenceville, GA, two great-grandchildren Mathieu Rowland of Madrid Spain and Christopher Manhertz, II of Fort Mill, SC; his brother Alverez (Shirley); his brother Leon (Joan-Deceased); his sister Shirley Smith (Landry-Deceased), his sister Lois Reimonenq (Michael-Deceased), cousin Verlie Decay, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous faithful friends.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley Bohnes Mathieu, his parents Clarence Sr. and Alice Soublet Mathieu, his brother Clarence Mathieu II (Sonja-Deceased), his sister, Delores Pavageau (Armand-Deceased), and his sister, Helena Weber (John-Deceased).
